Ka battery changeSat, 02 Jan 2021 22:38:04 +0000
There is 25mm strap across the top, with a metal plate on te end which is bolted down at the. No room for anything apart from a socket and extension. Nut is 17mm with about 40-50mm of thread protruding so a standard socket will not fit. I had to find a long reach plug socket and remove the rubber insert, then with restricted access, 1/4 of a turn at a time undo the nut.
What should have been a 5 minute task took...

The battery in my son’s focus doesn’t hold charge if left idle for around three days. It has had to be jump started on about 10 occasions in the last year. After jumping and recharging by driving for an hour I disconnected the battery completely and measured the voltage across terminals as 12.8 initially which dropped to about 12.2 over the next few days. I reconnected and the car started no problem but did not take it for a drive. Tried to start the next day but failed. I’m more than...

Went out to my car and opened the boot after not being opened in a while, and it is very creaky unsurprisingly as it hasn’t been opened in over a month due to lockdown. What’s the best product to use on this? Was thinking WD40 but seen a few people online saying not to use this, any advice would be appreciated. Sounds like it is coming from the hydraulic bits, it’s a C1 if that helps anyone.

I am in the process to buy a van for a motorhome/campervan conversion, Relay L4H2 or maybe L4H3, but I just realised yesterday when I was doing my research that if I want to get a parking permit, there is a height restriction of 2.3meters almost in every council in London. How do I overcome with this? What are the options? And how do we see many vans parked around?

I want to change the radio/CD player fitted in a Ford C Max 2.0TDCi 2006 56 plate. Haven't upgraded car radios since I was a teenager and only just recently thought about doing it. I want to get a bluetooth so I can use it as a handsfree for phone. Any recommendations as to make or brand? I've only started prliminary research and looked at Pioneer but not sure about the LED display. I know Blaupunkt have a fairly good reputation. Are they easy to fit?

Starts fine and runs fine but occasionally the engine judders as if it misses a beat for a couple of seconds.
Its a lot worse when you are going up a hill and it judders every few seconds before you get to the top then its fine and only happens every 15 mins or so after that?
Is it a fuel or spark plug problem or what else ? many thanks]]>3Chipping a car, what does it mean?Wed, 26 Feb 2020 13:21:48 +0000
/firstname.lastname@example.org (MGW)MGW However it now seems it refers to the engine management, I have no wish to change it, but wonder when changed what it means, and if you bought a second hand car how would you know if it had been done.
My son pays over £100 road tax, and my wife pays £30 for a car with same body and same engine his has 4 wheel drive and the engine is configured to give out more power, no change in any mechanical parts on engine, only the chip in the...
